It has been reported that Hunmanby Teenager Ryan Hammond is currently shaping up for the next British Longboard Union event in Porthowan which takes place in September.
The Scarborough Malibu Surf Club member said "It is going really well. We are spending a lot of time on the road heading down to Devon and Cornwall every weekend but it is worth it".
Ryan was in the club championships recently in Saunton and had a second in the first heat. He has just finished at Filey school and is planning to go on to college after that. He has been receiving a number of top tips from some of the surfing world top names since starting up on the national scene and recently took to the waves for coaching sessions with longboard champion Elliot Dudley and English champion Ben Skinner - Well done Ryan
